Manoj Tiwary, the veteran Indian cricketer, has gone unsold for the second time in the IPL auction for the 2020 edition. The 34-years-old cricketer had set his base price to as low as INR 50 lakhs, but he failed to find any buyer at the auctions.
The Bengal based batsman last played in the T20 league in the 2018 edition of the Indian Premier League, where he represented Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), where he was in and out of the team. He kept his base price to his lowest ever, i.e, INR 50 Lakhs but he couldn’t find any buyer in both the years 2019 and 2020.
Well, irrespective of his stature, an IPL snub can be very hard for any cricketer. The snub can come as a massive blow to any cricketer and can lead to a depressed state of mind. However, Manoj Tiwary didn’t allow the rejection to disturb his mental state.
After the auction, Manoj Tiwary took to his Twitter and posted a video of himself where he can be seen sitting by the seaside, sipping the liquor in the picturesque ambiance. In his caption, Manoj Tiwary wrote that he is celebrating his snub. He wrote:
“Life should not only be lived, it should be celebrated. So here i’m celebrating the snub from IPL 2020 Auction,”

However, this isn’t the first time that Manoj Tiwary has come up with a Tweet after not being able to find a buyer. Last year as well, he had taken to his Twitter and wrote a heartfelt post, that read:
“Wondering wat went wrong on my part after getting Man of a match award wen I scored a hundred 4 my country and got dropped for the next 14 games on a trot ?? Looking at d awards which I received during 2017 IPL season, wondering wat went wrong ???”
Here, check out the Tweet:

Well, Twitterati loved his attitude this time. Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati on this:
A player having over 50 average in first class cricket and close to 30 average in t20s is not getting picked. What can we say.
