During one of the drinks break, apparently, Marnus Labuschagne spilt his chewing gum on the Lord’s surface. When getting ready to resume his innings, the right-hander quickly spotted the gum, picked it up and nonchalantly put it back in his mouth and began to chew it.

Fans were left unsettled by this act of Marnus Labuschagne, who is also known to not keep a good hygiene and one time a teammate of Labuschagne went on to reveal that he also doesn’t brush his teeth regularly.

At Lord’s, Marnus Labuschagne scored 47 runs off 93 balls, doing better than his twin failures in the first Test at Edgbaston.

Steve Smith notched up his 32nd Test hundred however Australia suffered a batting collapse and lost their last 7 wickets for only 100 runs, getting bowled out for 416.

England, in reply, Bazballed their way with quickfire starts from Zak Crawley, who scored run-a-ball 48, and Ben Duckett, who scored 98 runs and fell just two runs short of what would have been his maiden Ashes century. Australia, who were now without Nathan Lyon as the off-spinner left the field due to a calf injury, did make a comeback, bouncing out the England batters, including Joe Root, before Ben Stokes brought some semblance and calm.

At stumps on Day 2. England are 278/4, trailing by 138 runs.
