Mayank Agarwal Revealed the Reason Why He Didn’t Come Out To Bat In Super Over Against DC: Kings XI Punjab has made a stunning entry into the IPL 2020 campaign. After their high-octane thriller against Delhi Capitals, the KL Rahul-led squad registered their first win of the season by winning with a whopping 97 runs.
In the first match against Delhi Capitals, Kings XI Punjab failed miserably in the super over as skipper Rahul and Nicholas Pooran were dismissed on consecutive deliveries by Kagiso Rabada. KXIP could only score runs in the super over. Initially, it looked like KXIP will win the match, however, DC defeated KXIP in the super over and made it look like a cakewalk for DC.

Following the miserable super-over defeat of KXIP, many fans asked the management’s decision to not send Mayank Agarwal in the super-over as he gave a powerful performance during the run-chase by scoring 89 off 60 balls.

Now, ahead of the game against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mayank Agarwal finally revealed the reason behind his truancy from the super over. Talking to Star Sports, Mayank Agar revealed that he was tired and was having cramps. He said:

“
I was tired and having cramps when I returned to the dugout after completing my innings. If I had to run a lot in the super over, it wouldn’t have been possible. That’s why I held back in the Super Over,”

Meanwhile, in their second match against RCB, Mayank Agarwal continued with his stellar form and gave a brilliant performance. He formed a formidable partnership with KL
Rahul and the duo gave a tough time to the talented bowlers of RCB together.

However, Mayank Agarwal was soon dismissed and had to walk back to the pavilion on 26. Agarwal failed to read a googly off Yuzvendra Chahal and got bowled. But after his departure, it was skipper KL
Rahul who slammed a scintillating century to steer KXIP to a hefty total of 132 off 69 balls. He smashed 14 fours and 7 sixes in his brilliant knock.
