Not even 30 minutes had gone by from the start of the IND vs AUS match, Daniel Jarvis, now famously known as Jarvo or Jarvo69, made his entry into the World Cup 2023 wearing the Indian jersey in India’s opening match of the tournament, against Australia on Sunday in Chennai.

Neither the Chennai heat nor the security could stop Jarvo from entering the playing field at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Jarvo first made his appearance during the India vs England Test series in England 2021, and he did it a couple of times in that series.

He notoriously invaded the playing field in other sporting arenas in England as well. During a rugby match, he even subtlely stood alongside the All Blacks team in their national anthem. He collided with England wicket-keeper Jonny Bairstow as well last October. He had trespassed into another rugby game in Dublin.

He got close to the pitch, and even interacted with Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, the pictures of them have gone viral on social media. The ground security team finally caught him and led him out of the playing field.

Fans had a big laugh at this incident as they were wondering how Jarvo even got tickets in the first place when the tickets were reportedly sold out the moment it had gone live.

Fans’ reaction on Jarvo invading IND vs AUS match in Chennai:

Australia captain Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bat first in Chennai. Jasprit Bumrah drew the first blood for India by picking up Mitchell Marsh’s wicket, before David Warner and Steve Smith steadied the ship with a flurry of boundaries.

Teams:

Australia (Playing XI): David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Steven Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Glenn Maxwell, Alex Carey(w), Cameron Green, Pat Cummins(c), Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood

India (Playing XI): Rohit Sharma(c), Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul(w), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj
