The Mumbai Indians (MI) are hosting the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Sunday afternoon at the Wankhede stadium. However, they will be without their captain, Rohit Sharma, in today’s clash vs KKR.
Why is Rohit Sharma not playing today vs KKR?

Interim skipper Suryakumar Yadav said at the toss that Rohit Sharma is having a stomach bug and hence he misses this match against KKR.
Rohit Sharma was replaced in the side by young Arjun Tendulkar, who makes his Mumbai Indians debut today vs KKR. Mumbai Indians also handed a debut cap to left-arm seamer Duan Jansen, who is the twin brother of Marco Jansen.
KKR, on the other hand, kept the same XI from the side that lost to SRH. MI are coming off a last-ball victory over Delhi Capitals wherein Rohit Sharma starred with the bat with a half-century.
Rohit Sharma scored 65 runs off 45 balls against the Capitals in their chase of 173 runs, which MI completed on the last ball.
Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and elected to field first.
He said, “Will love to bowl first, the wicket looks dry. The ball comes on to the bat nicely later. Rohit is out, he has a stomach bug. Time to put up a good show. We are going with one change, Duan Jansen comes in, rest all is same.”
Nitish Rana said: “We were going to bat first anyways. The mood in the dressing room is good, need to improve our bowling. We believe we can chase 200-210. The ball might turn in the second innings I think. One player can’t win you a tournament, it’s a team sport. It’s good for us, that everyone is scoring runs. We’ll target to score around 180 on this wicket, we are playing with the same team.”
