Michael Vaughan has given it back to Salman Butt’s recent statements, where the Pakistani batsman termed Vaughan’s take on ‘Virat Kohli vs Kane Williamson’ comparison as ‘irrelevant’

Well, for the unversed, Vaughan had recently said that had Williamson been an Indian, he would be called the world’s best batsman, taking a dig at Virat Kohli. Reacting to these statements, Salman Butt called Vaughan’s comments ‘irrelevant’ and even went on to say that the former England skipper likes to say such things to stir up debates.

Not just this, Salman Butt also reminded everyone how in comparison to Kohli’s 70 international tons, Vaughan didn’t have even one in ODIs and more. He had said:

“Kohli is from a country that has a huge population. So, no doubt, he would have a bigger fanbase. Above all, his performances have been top notch. Currently, no other batsman in the world except Virat has 70 international centuries. He has dominated the batting rankings for a long period because his performances have been outstanding. So, I don’t understand what is the need of drawing comparison,”

The statements didn’t go down well with the former England skipper who took to his official Facebook page and destroyed Salman Butt with a single powerful statement, where he called Butt a ‘match-fixer’. He wrote:

“This is very true Salman but you forgot to mention that I haven’t been a match fixer corrupting our great game either like some … !!!!!!!!”

Here, check out the post:

Well, this was not just on Facebook page where Vaughan made expressed his displeasure. He also took to his official twitter handle and reminded him of 2010 when Salman Butt was ‘match-fixing’. He wrote:

“I’ve seen what Salman has said about me… that’s fine and he is allowed his opinion but I wished he had such a clear thought of mind back in 2010 when he was Match Fixing,”

Here, check out the Tweet:

No idea what the headline is … but I seen what Salman has said about me … that’s fine and he is allowed his opinion but I wished he had such a clear thought of mind back in 2010 when he was Match fixing !!! https://t.co/EkDWuH7Vi4
