Michael Vaughan Named The Skipper Under Whose Captaincy He Would Have Played In IPL: Indian cricket skipper Virat Kohli and vice-captain Rohit Sharma are two of the biggest names on the Indian cricket team. Both the cricketers have played many memorable knocks for team India and saved the day for team India.

However, the fortunes of both the players have been completely different when it comes to IPL. While Virat Kohli is leading Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) since 2011, Rohit Sharma took over as Mumbai Indians (MI) captain in 2013.  Rohit Sharma is one of the most successful skippers in IPL history, having won the IPL trophy 5 times. On the other hand, Virat Kohli is yet to get his hands on the trophy of the IPL.

There has always been this ‘Rohit vs Kohli’ debate going on among the cricket fraternity. Over the years, several cricketers have given their opinion on the debate.

Recently, in an interview with CricTracker, Michael Vaughan was asked to name the skipper under whom he would have liked to play in the cash-rich league.

Vaughan, who has time and again expressed his admiration for Mumbai Indians and its skipper Rohit Sharma, was very clear with his answer. Responding to the question, Vaughan named MI skipper Rohit Sharma, who as a player as well as the most IPL titles to his name-6.

Vaughan also heaped praises on the MI’s skipper, Vaughan said that he is a magnificent leader and his strategies very clever in his decision. He said:

Rohit Sharma. Mumbai Indians, the best T20 team in the world without any question. He is a magnificent leader; he is calm and composed; his strategies are very clever and I could see myself next to Rohit,”
