The first day of the IPL auctions had many surprises to unleash. While some underdogs got themselves a hefty deal, some big names in the T20 cricket remained unsold. Ben Stokes as expected went for the highest bid on day 1 as he went for s whopping amount of 12.5 crores to the Rajasthan Royals.

The fast bowler from Australia decided to pull out from the PSL for he wanted to give himself enough rest ahead of the Indian Premier League. But going unsold on day 1 has made him rethink about his plans about the IPL.
