Indian batting superstar Virat Kohli played a memorable knock on Sunday in the last league game of the ongoing 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League, which was against Gujarat Titans. Kohli registered his 7th IPL century, which is the most by any batter in the league. However, all his efforts went in vain as his side Royal Challengers Bangalore faced defeat at the hands of Gujarat Titans in the must-win match.
Virat Kohli Played A Stunning Knock
Kohli broke former teammate Chris Gayle’s long-standing Indian Premier League record and etched his name in the record books by smashing the 7th century in the league. He played a crucial knock in the must-win game against Gujarat Titans, reaching the triple-figure mark in just 60 balls. This was Kohli’s second-successive ton in the season. The first century of this season came against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Kohli brought his half-century in 35 deliveries but he soon switched gears and started smashing the GT bowlers to all the corners of the ground. In the next 25 balls, Kohli reached the triple-figure mark. His sensational knock was laced with 13 fours and 1 stunning six.
With this defeat against the Hardik Pandya-led side, RCB’s campaign in the ongoing season of the IPL came to an end on a disappointing note.
