Siraj finished the tournament with 10 wickets at an average of 12.2. He went past star bowlers like Trent Boult, Rashid Khan, and Mitchell Starc.
His performance helped him to leapfrog eight positions in the rankings and surpass the likes of Josh Hazlewood, Trent Boult, Rashid Khan, and Mitchell Starc to claim the top position. This is for the second time that Siraj has become the no.1 bowler in the ICC ODI rankings as he also claimed the top spot in the ICC ODI Rankings.

Meanwhile, after claiming the top spot in the ICC rankings, Siraj took to his social media and shared a post on his Instagram story that had a picture of him from the match against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2023 final as well as his parents.
