Cricketer KL Rahul tied the knot with actress Athiya Shetty on January 23 in a private ceremony in Khandala. The couple, who have been in a long-term relationship, received an outpouring of love and blessings from their friends and family. But, among all the gifts they received, two stood out as the most extravagant and costly.

Former Indian cricket team captains MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, who couldn’t attend the wedding due to their busy schedules, gifted KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty with some truly lavish presents.

As per a report in Pinkvilla, Dhoni and Kohli combined to spend a whopping ₹3.50 crore on two extravagant gifts for the newlyweds. MS Dhoni, under whom Rahul made his ODI and T20I debut for India, gifted him a Kawasaki Ninja bike worth ₹80 lakh.

The Ninja H2R, which is believed to be the model that Dhoni picked, has a showroom price in India of ₹79,90,000. On the other hand, Kohli and wife Anushka Sharma presented the couple with a BMW, whose price is believed to be around ₹2.70 crore.

It’s not just the cricket fraternity that gifted the couple with such luxurious presents. Actor Suniel Shetty and wife Mana gifted them with a plush apartment in Mumbai worth ₹50 crore.

Actor Salman Khan got them an AUDI worth ₹1.6 crore, while Jackie Shroff and Arjun Kapoor picked out a watch and bracelet worth ₹30 lakh and ₹1.5 crore respectively for KL Rahul’s wife Athiya.

KL Rahul, who was not named in the Indian squads for the Sri Lanka ODIs and T20Is, or even the first two Tests against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, is expected to return for the three ODI series towards mid-March.

Meanwhile, Dhoni is currently preparing for the IPL 2023, while Kohli was playing the ODI series between India and New Zealand. Players such as Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya too were invited to the wedding but, like Kohli, both were serving national duty.

In conclusion, KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty’s wedding was a grand affair and the couple received an abundance of love and blessings from their friends and family. The gifts they received from MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli are a testament to the close bond they share with the former Indian cricket team captains. These extravagant gifts, worth a total of ₹3.50 crore, are a clear indication of the immense admiration and respect that the couple commands in the cricket fraternity.
