MS Dhoni and his wife, Sakshi, have a typical Bollywood-inspired love story. They met and went their separate ways only to come together forever.
Dhoni and Sakshi met each other at the Taj Bengal, during Team India’s stay in November-December, 2007. At that time, India was playing against Pakistan at the Eden Gardens. Sakshi Rawat, who was an intern working at Taj Bengal was introduced to MS Dhoni, by his manager, Yudhajit Dutta. Sakshi was friends with Yudhajit.
For Dhoni, it was love at first sight but it took a lot of hard work for the Indian captain to impress Sakshi. But, he finally managed to convince her and they started dating in March 2008.
Dhoni and Sakshi’s affair was a well-kept secret. The wedding was planned in a manner that no one knew about the preparations, not even the media. The couple got married on July 4, 2010. Many of Dhoni’s friends from sports, politics and film fraternity attended the wedding and blessed the couple.
But, after Dhoni’s biopic, fans got to know their beautiful love story. Recently, a video was uploaded on Social Media in which Dhoni is dancing to impress Sakshi. It is a very adorable video because we have never seen MS Dhoni dance and express his emotions as freely.
Dhoni is one of the most coolest and calmest players in the history of the game. He led a young Indian side for a very long period of time but never showed too many emotions on the field. He is someone who trains very hard but keeps a big margin for errors that can happen on the field.
Even while celebrating, MS keeps things very simple. He doesn’t make too many signature moves while celebrating and allows youngsters to take the centre stage.
