Former India skipper and current Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni has finally entered the world of movies. As per various reports, the legendary cricketer is reportedly set to turn producer for megastar Thalapathy Vijay’s movie.
MS Dhoni to enter movie world
Yes, after venturing into various industries such as poultry, agriculture, brewery, gym, and clothing, MS Dhoni is all set to start his journey in the movie world with Kollywood. It was in May when it was announced that Dhoni is eyeing an entry into the Kollywood as a producer. If reports are to be believed then MS has approached actor Vijay and asked him to act in his film.
Meanwhile, Thalapathy Vijay, who is currently starring in ‘Thalapathy 66’, has accepted Dhoni’s request to feature in his movie. Vijay will be releasing the first look of his film ‘Thalapathy 66’ on June 21. Following this, an official announcement of Dhoni’s association with Vijay’s movie will be made soon.
Dhoni Productions
Thala has been planning to launch his own production house called Dhoni Productions. If reports are to be believed then the famed actor from South India Nayanthara will play the lead role in the movie. There are also reports that claim that MSD fans will also witness him make his silver screen debut with a cameo in the film. Yes, you read that right.
Earlier, a movie on Dhoni’s life has also come out, titled MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. The lead role of MSD was played by late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, while the role of Dhoni’s wife was played by Kiara Advani. However, the biopic was not produced by Dhoni but by his close friend and business partner Arun Pandey.
Dhoni, who is currently captain of Chennai Super Kings, will return for CSK as captain in IPL 2023. He had announced the same during the last match of CSK in IPL 2022.
