On Tuesday, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) wicketkeeper-batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz thanked the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni for his heart-touching gesture. Gurbaz is the latest to get appreciation from Dhoni. In a beautiful gesture, Dhoni has sent him an autographed CSK jersey. Gurbaz took to social media and posted a photo of his prized possession. Sharing the picture, Gurbaz wrote:

Thanks, MS Dhoni sir for sending me the gift from India,”

Notably, Gurbaz was a part of Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022 and was traded to Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2023. He scored 227 runs at a strike rate of 133.53 off the 11 games he played in the tournament.

Ahead of IPL 2023, Gurbaz revealed that one of his biggest desires is to play against Dhoni as well as former RCB and South Africa legend AB de Villiers. In an interview with Hindustan Times, he said:

“I had two players in my life I want to play with but unfortunately, I did not play with them. One was AB de Villiers. I was really inspired by him. He was my idol. I followed him a lot from my childhood.”

He added: “He is retired now but one thing that I hope is possible this year is to play with MS Dhoni, against him and with him but in one game. I hope this dream comes true.”
