MS Dhoni

Like with many international cricketers, MS Dhoni too has interests in other sports than cricket. The 42-year-old from Ranchi was recently seen playing tennis on an indoor court in the presence of a few fans.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is currently enjoying his time away from cricket; in recent years, since his international retirement, Dhoni only features in the IPL and takes off from cricket for the rest 10 months to keep his body fit.

In a video that is going viral, Dhoni, wearing a sleeveless t-shirt, could be seen playing tennis. As someone who preaches to focus and enjoy the present moment, Dhoni certainly could be noticed enjoying playing tennis on an actual tennis court. His recently-bulked up, and muscular shoulders were also noticed by the fans.  Dhoni played tennis with high intensity, transferring his cricket batting skills onto a racket.

Will MS Dhoni play in the IPL 2024 next year?

Yes, the CSK captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, himself had confirmed at the end of the IPL 2023 that he’s not planning on retiring from the IPL just yet.

After playing with a knee injury throughout the IPL 2023, Dhoni underwent knee surgery soon after lifting CSK to their 5th IPL title, defeating Gujarat Titans in the final this year in Ahmedabad.

About his return to IPL 2024, Dhoni had said, “The tough thing for me is to work hard for another nine months and come back and play at least one more season of IPL. But a lot depends on the body, I have six-seven months to decide and it will be more like a gift from my side [to the fans]. It’s not easy for me but the way they’ve shown their love and affection, that’s something I need to do for them.”

Recently, he returned from a vacation in the USA. He will resume his rehab for his knee surgery and could hit the nets soon. The IPL 2024 auction is expected to take place in December this year
