In the MA Chindambaram Stadium, where the Chennai Super Kings practise, MS Dhoni was spotted brushing up on his batting techniques as he blasted a ball for a massive six in his signature fashion.
The biggest franchise cricket league in the world, the Indian Premier League, is ready to start its 16th season and will soon have the entire country in its clutches. One of the teams to keep an eye on will be none other than Chennai Super Kings (CSK). All eyes will be on MS Dhoni, their captain, to see if he can perform at his peak level in the league after being out of cricket action for the previous year. The former Indian captain, though, doesn’t appear to have lost any time at all.

MS Dhoni was seen brushing up on his batting techniques during a practise session with the franchise’s players at their home stadium, the MA Chindambaram Stadium, as he hasn’t played competitive cricket since the IPL 2022. The CSK captain can be seen in a video blasting a ball straight into the stands for a huge six in his usual style, and he appeared at ease while doing so. The six actually brought to mind Dhoni’s legendary maximum, which he hit in the 2011 ODI World Cup final at the Wankhede Stadium to secure India’s victory in the competition.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who will captain the Chennai Super Kings in the 2023 IPL season, which kicks off on March 31, has retired from all forms of international cricket. According to certain sources, this could be his final IPL season. One of the most effective tournament captains in history is MS Dhoni. The most recent of his four championship victories with CSK was in the IPL 2021. After a spate of poor performances in the IPL 2022 season, Dhoni was given control of the squad after Ravindra Jadeja was initially named captain.
