The man, the myth, the legend — MS Dhoni once again turned back the clock as he showcased some brilliant shots during match number 55 of the ongoing 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League.
Dhoni once again displayed his ability to strike the ball a long way with two stunning sixes. Dhoni, who is hailed as one of the finest finishers of the game, once again proved why he is hailed so highly in this game.
The CSK skipper has been playing lower down the order this season for Chennai Super Kings but he has been making big impacts with some powerful hitting in the slog overs. During the game against Delhi Capitals, Dhoni played another crucial knock as Khaleel Ahmed found himself at the receiving end of Dhoni’s muscle power.

It happened in the penultimate over of the innings, when Dhoni took charge over Khaleel and smashed him for a stunning six over mid-wicket on the 3rd ball. He managed to hit a four on the next ball through the outside edge. The 41-year-old once again displayed his power as he smashed a six straight down on the final ball.

Meanwhile, Dhoni walked back to the pavilion in the final over after he attempted to hit another six as he was caught by David Warner at long-on on Mitchell Marsh’s delivery. The wicketkeeper batter slammed 20 runs off just 9 balls to give his side a finishing touch as CSK posted a total of 167 runs.
Talking about the game, DC never seemed to be in contention throughout the game and as a result CSK managed to win the game by 27 runs.
