After serving a two-year ban, the ‘Yellow Brigade’ Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will return to action in the eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

CSK are one of the most successful franchises in the history of IPL and their fans are desperately waiting for their ‘whistle podus’ to return and add the yellow fever to IPL.

CSK and Rajasthan Royal (RR) were banned for two years by IPL governing committee after corruption charges against were proved in the court of law. It was a big blow for the IPL as both of thee franchises have won silverware and they have very loyal fan base in their respective states.

Former CSK captain and one of the most loved cricketers in the world, MS Dhoni has been the poster boy of Chennai Super Kings right from the first edition of the Indian Premier League. Dhoni led CSK in the most spectacular manner and won many trophies for them.

In fact, if we exclude the last 2 years, CSK are the most successful franchise in IPL history. But, after CSK was banned, MS Dhoni moved to Rising Pune Supergiants. Dhoni captained RPS in the first season but it was a very unsuccessful campaign. Consequently, Dhoni was sacked captain by RPS in the next season and the charge was given to Australian captain Steve Smith, who did a good job and took RPS to the final of IPL 2017, where they lost to Mumbai Indians.

On Saturday, MS Dhoni uploaded a picture in yellow jersey, with number 7 and ‘Thala’ written on his back. This picture has almost made it certain that MS Dhoni will play for CSK next season. Check out the picture here:

Earlier, MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi had also posted a picture wearing CSK’s helmet.
