Narendra Modi appreciates Virat Kohli’s ‘small but powerful gesture’

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media to appreciate Virat Kohli’s effort to spread awareness about #MyCleanIndia campaign. Virat Kohli, Anil Kumble and other members of Indian Cricket Team participated in #MyCleanIndia campaign at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had tweeted out a video showing the team and the BCCI President Anurag Thakur participating in the campaign.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he had seen the video while it was aired on a news channel and said that it was a “small but powerful gesture that will surely inspire everyone.”

Virat Kohli has a massive fan base in India and young generation follow him religiously. He is the poster boy of Indian cricket and this initiative by him and Team India will give more power to the campaign and will spread more awareness about cleanness in India.

It was also a great move by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to appreciate Virat Kohli’s effort through his social media accounts. This will spread more awareness about the campaign and inspire more people to join the campaign.

In reply, the Indian Test skipper thanked the Prime Minister and said, “We all are trying to make a difference for the betterment of our country. Led in an inspirational way by you.”
