India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media to appreciate Virat Kohli’s effort to spread awareness about #MyCleanIndia campaign. Virat Kohli, Anil Kumble and other members of Indian Cricket Team participated in #MyCleanIndia campaign at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had tweeted out a video showing the team and the BCCI President Anurag Thakur participating in the campaign.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he had seen the video while it was aired on a news channel and said that it was a “small but powerful gesture that will surely inspire everyone.”

Dear @imVkohli, saw your #MyCleanIndia moment on @abpnewstv. A small but powerful gesture that will surely inspire everyone.

In reply, the Indian Test skipper thanked the Prime Minister and said, “We all are trying to make a difference for the betterment of our country. Led in an inspirational way by you.”
