Neither Kohli Nor Dhoni! This Will Be The Biggest Challenge For Pakistan

Over the years, we have seen Indian batsmen winning matches for the team. Before every tournament, the entire focus used to be Team India’s strong batting unit. But, this time, in ICC Champions Trophy 2017, fans and media are also talking about India’s bowling unit.

In the last 12 months or so, India’s bowling has improved heaps and bounce and they are one of the strongest bowling units in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. Traditionally, Pakistan have always been a much stronger bowling side than India, but the same can’t be said for the upcoming fixture between India and Pakistan.

Pakistan have a good bowling unit but if we compare performances in the last few months, Indian bowlers have done very well. The likes of Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja and others are all in very good form. In fact, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad in Indian Premier League (IPL), was the leading wicket taker of IPL 2017.

Neither Kohli Nor Dhoni! This Will Be The Biggest Challenge For Pakistan

India’s first match of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 against Pakistan will be a bit different because this time, Pakistan will be equally wary of India’s bowling unit. There is no denying the fact that batting is still India’s strongest point but there isn’t much of a difference if you compare it to their bowling department. India have a good mixture of quality spinners, fast bowlers and all-rounders, along with some very useful part-timers like Kedar Jadhav and Yuvraj Singh.

Media is focusing only on Junaid Khan vs Virat Kohli, Wahab Riaz vs Yuvraj Singh but we are also looking forward to Bhuvneshwar Kumar vs Mohammad Hafeez and Jasprit Bumrah vs Babar Azam.
