Former England cricketer Nick Crompton has lashed out at the Indian skipper Virat Kohli for his aggressive behavior on the field. Nick’s comments for Kohli came after things got flared up between both the teams, during the second Test match, as several players from both sides were seen having a go at each other.

Apparently, it was Jasprit Bumrah’s bouncers that irked James Anderson and the whole English side, who later on tried to give it back to him when Bumrah came out to bat. Apart from Anderson, even Jos Buttler was seen involved in a heated conversation with Bumrah. However, Bumrah along with his batting partner Mohammed Shami answered them with their bat, adding 89 runs together to the Indian total. And that turned out to be the match-changing moment.

Team India was pumped up, because of the verbal banter between Bumrah and Shami, and the Indian skipper Virat Kohli was seen indulging in a war of words with Anderson. Their verbal spat was caught on the stump mic. While Anderson was walking back towards his bowling mark, Kohli was heard saying:

“You are swearing at me? Like you did to Bumrah?. This isn’t your backyard” Anderson must have said something more which was inaudible and Kohli was heard saying: “Yeah yeah yeah, Chirp chirp chirp”. Besides this, Virat was constantly in the ears of some of the England cricketers.

Now two days after the incident, former England cricketer Nick Compton took to his social media and slammed Virat Kohli for his behavior. In his (now-deleted) tweet, Nick called Virat the most foul-mouthed individual while praising England Test captain Joe Root, New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson, and batting legend Sachin Tendulkar. He wrote:

“Isn’t Kohli the most foul-mouthed individual. I’ll Never forget the barrage of abuse I received in 2012 when the swearing stunned me to the point that he did himself a serious disservice. It highlights what a level headed and grounded man Root, Tendulkar, Williamson et al are.”
