MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings created history as they became the join-most successful teams in the history of the Indian Premier League by winning their 5th title in the 2023 edition. Ravindra Jadeja hit a four off the last ball to propel Chennai Super Kings to a historic win at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Kiwi batter Devon Conway played an instrumental role in CSK’s title-winning campaign, scoring 672 runs in 16 games at an impressive average of 51.69. In fact, in the final match against Gujarat Titans, Conway played a terrific quickfire knock of 47(25) to set the tone for CSK in the high-voltage clash.
Meanwhile, after a month of CSK’s historic win, Devon Conway has now selected his all-time XI of CSK.
Devon Conway made a surprising call as he picked star all-rounder Ben Stokes in his all-time XI for CSK. The reason why this selection has surprised the fans is because Stokes has only played two games for the Chennai Super Kings, scoring just 15 runs. Stokes was injured and thus he had to warm the bench for almost an entire IPL season.
No Place For Dwayne Bravo?
Another thing that left the fans surprised was the non-inclusion of the CSK legend Dwayne Bravo, who has played an important part in the success of Yellow Army for many years.
Devon Conway picked young Ruturaj Gaikwad along with Faf du Plessis as the opening duo of his all-time XI, followed by the CSK legend Suresh Raina. He picked Ambati Rayudu, who recently announced his retirement from all formats of the game.
At fifth, sixth, and seventh positions, Devon Conway has picked Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali, and Ravindra Jadeja. MS Dhoni is the captain of the team. Albie Morkel, Deepak Chahar, and Lakshmipathy Balaji complete his all-time CSK XI.
Devon Conway’s all-time CSK XI:
