The former English star batsman, Kevin Pieterson may soon quit all formats of cricket after the upcoming season of the Big Bash League starts. His international career met with an unfortunate roadblock after the 2013-2014 Ashes controversy.

Since then Kevin Pieterson has been playing T20 leagues around the world but this season of the Big Bash League may just be his last cricketing outing.

He will be seen donning the colors of Melbourne Stars in the domestic league of Australian Cricket. The BBL will start from 19th of December and it is likely that this season of the BBL will be the last cricketing season of KP’s journey too.

KP has already pulled his name from the IPL auctions about to start soon. This hints at the fact that he does not see that fitness in him now which is needed to play cricket. The Melbourne Stars signed Kevin in January 2016. This season of the BBL will also be the last in his contract with the Melbourne Stars.

Talking about struggling fitness KP said, “I am definitely coming to the end of my playing time.” He further added that his career would not be defined by the manner in which he performs in the BBL since his career has already been defined by the good and the bad times he has had in the long career of his.

The 37-year-old cricketer would not be seen playing cricket after the BBL finishes in the month of February.

Kevin Pieterson has played 104 tests and 136 ODIs for England. He has scored 13255 test runs for his team and hence he has been one of the greatest personalities to ever play for England.

He has even captained England when Vaughn stepped down. His career got rattled following an ugly controversy amid Ashes in the 2013-2014 season. His potentials were much larger than what he could achieve.
