PAK vs ENG: 10 Best Memes On Pakistan’s Whitewash At Home

“Perfect,” Ben Stokes, the England captain, said smilingly, summing up the 3-0 Test series win over Pakistan. Pakistan captain Babar Azam gave an opposite reaction, expectedly, saying, “Disappointing as a team.” Man of the series Harry Brook, who hit a century each in all three Tests, reflected, “Probably been my best tour so far, no one has ever done it before (3-0 whitewash) so it’s a phenomenal tour.”

Yes, Pakistan suffered their first-ever 3-0 whitewash at home.

England completed the Karachi Test with an 8-wicket victory, gunning down the target of 167 in only 28.1 overs. The wave of Bazball, headed by skipper Ben Stokes and head coach Brendon McCullum, continues to enthrall the world.

Pakistan cricket, on the other hand, is in huge turmoil, and there might be some sackings – Babar Azam as Test captain and even reports of Ramiz Raja as the PCB chairman – could be on the way.

This is also the first time that Pakistan have lost 4 home Tests in a row, having lost the third Test to Pat Cummins’ Australia earlier in the year and Australia won that 3-Test series 1-0.

While other Asian teams have taken pride in making their home a fortress – India have lost only 2 Test matches in the last 9 years at home – Pakistan are not able to avoid losses this year under Babar with his captaincy and the pitches coming under great scrutiny and criticism.

The first two Tests of this series were closely fought – England won in Rawalpindi by 74 runs in the dying minutes of the last day, in Multan, England won by only 26 runs – in Karachi, though, the visitors were on top throughout.

In the first innings, Pakistan scored 304 runs with Babar Azam top-scoring with 78. Jack Leach took 4 wickets while Rehan Ahmed took a brace. England replied with 354 runs of their won, courtesy of Brook’s century, taking a small but crucial lead of 50 runs. Babar Azam again top-scored for Pakistan in the second innings but with only 54, as Pakistan folded for 216 with 18-year-old leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed becoming the youngest debutant to take a Test five-for on debut. England chased down the 167-run target with utter ease.

As usual, the Pakistan cricket team and the PCB were trolled brutally on Twitter following their loss in Karachi and conceding the series white-wash 3-0.
