Irfan Pathan

The former Indian all-rounder, Irfan Pathan, has been trending on social media, however, for all the comical reasons. He is getting mercilessly trolled by some Pakistani fans. It all started when the Indian cricket team defeated Pakistan in a high-voltage thriller in T20 World Cup 2022, Pathan couldn’t control himself from taking a dig at Pakistan. But little did he know that the tweet will backfire on him after a year.

The tables turned upside down in the ongoing Emerging Teams Asia Cup, with Pakistan A securing their second title after outclassing India A, the Pakistani fans grabbed the opportunity with both hands and started trolling the former cricketer.

Pakistani Fans Are Trolling Irfan Pathan

From hilarious Tweets to memes, fans unleashed a merciless torrent of trolls on Twitter, highlighting their team’s stellar performance with the bat, courtesy of Tayyab Tahir‘s sensational knock of 108 runs off 71 balls.

Chasing a mammoth total of 352 runs for eight leaving the result in no real doubt, the Indian cricket team fought valiantly but they could only manage to score 224 runs in 40 overs, leading to their first defeat in the tournament. Meanwhile, as Pakistan defeat India, the fans celebrated with memes, GIFs, and sharp-witted Tweets directed at Irfan Pathan.

Check out some of the reactions:

But this isn’t the first time that Pakistani fans have targeted Irfan Pathan. Back in November 2022, when Pakistan managed to reach the T20 World Cup final by thrashing New Zealand, fans attacked Pathan on Twitter and trolled him left, right, and center. However, Pathan kept his cool and responded gracefully with a touch of humor. He reminded everyone that grace isn’t limited to winning or losing on the field. He wrote:

“Padosiyon jeet ati jaati rehti hai, lekin GRACE apke bas ki baat nahi hai,”
