No Place For MS Dhoni And Hardik Pandya In Irfan Pathan’s Best 12 Of IPL 2023 

The 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League ended with the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings lifting the prestigious trophy for the fifth time. In the final clash, the Yellow Army was up against the defending champions – Gujarat Titans.

CSK was given a revised target of 171 runs in 15 overs after the rain arrived at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja’s batting heroics in the last over, CSK successfully completed the chase to become the 5-time IPL champs.

Meanwhile, as the tournament has come to an end, several cricketers and experts are sharing their teams of the tournament. The latest one to join the bandwagon is former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan.

The former all-rounder took to his social media and unveiled his best 12 for IPL 2023. Surprisingly, the list doesn’t include Hardik Pandya and MS Dhoni, both the captains who led their respective sides to the IPL 2023 final. While Dhoni led his side to their IPL 2023 win while Hardik-led Gujarat Titans to an IPL 2023 final for the second consecutive time.

Apart from Hardik and Dhoni, Irfan Pathan‘s IPL 2023 XI didn’t include Yashasvi Jaiswal. He named Faf du Plessis as the captain of his best 12. Shubman Gill was named his opening partner.

At the number 3 position, Pathan named Virat Kohli, followed by Suryakumar Yadav will follow the RCB opener. Pathan included Rinku Singh and Heinrich Klaasen as two finishers in his squad. Rinku made a name for himself with his finishing skills while Klaasen had a decent season for SunRisers Hyderabad. Jadeja and Rashid Khan are two spin-bowling all-rounders in the best 12 of Pathan.

In the bowling departments, Pathan named Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Mohit Sharma, and Matheesha Pathirana.
