Indian batting superstar Virat Kohli enjoys an immense fan following across the world. He also has some crazy fans in the neighboring country Pakistan. Many fans from Pakistan traveled to Kandy, where India and Pakistan squared off at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in the third match of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 on Saturday, September 2nd.
India’s campaign opener in the Asia Cup 2023 against Pakistan didn’t go as planned as the match was called off due to unrelenting rain. The match witnessed a spectacular batting collapse for the Men in Blue. The star-studded top-order could not fire at all. Indian captain Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 11 runs in the fifth over while Virat Kohli could only score 4 runs.
By 14.1 overs, the Indian cricket team was reeling at 66/4. After India’s top-order collapse, Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya joined hands with each other and brought the momentum back to the game. Had it not been for this duo, India would have struggled to cross the 250-run mark.

Meanwhile, after the match was called off because of the rain, a die-hard fan of Virat Kohli expressed her love and admiration for the Indian batting star. She revealed that she came to the stadium to watch him live in action, expecting to witness a century. However, she was left heartbroken as she did not get to see her favorite batter play a good knock.
She was also asked whether she would support Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam or former Indian captain Virat Kohli, responding to this, the girl said:
“Virat Kohli… Virat Kohli is my favourite player; I have specially come here for him, to see him. I was expecting him to score a century, but I’m heartbroken.”
Listening to her reply, the other Pakistani fans started mocking her, but it had no impact on her. Furious with her love for Kohli, an old man standing next to her tried to question her allegiance to her own country. But the girl shut him down with an epic response. She replied:
“Chacha padosiyon se pyaar karna koi buri baat to nahi (Uncle, loving your neighbours isn’t a bad thing),”
