Aakash Chopra Took A Dig At Rishabh Pant: The limited-overs series between the Indian cricket team and the Australian cricket team has summed up and now both the teams will be seen locking their horns in the upcoming four-match Test series. While the Australian cricket team won the ODI series by 2-1, on the other hand, T20I series went into team India’s side by 2-1. Now as the longest format series is coming up, all the eyes are on the test names and Rishabh Pant is one of them.

Talking about Rishabh Pant in the same manner, former cricketer and analyst Aakash Chopra feels that Rishabh might have to wait till the next season of the IPL to get a place in the playing XI of the Indian cricket team.

Aakash Chopra stated that he didn’t even play the warm-up match as a fielder in the warm-up match against Australia A side. In his latest video on YouTube, Aakash Chopra was asked how Rishabh can mark his comeback in the Indian team in any format of the game.

Chopra said that things are going to be tough for the former cricketer as the wicketkeeper-batsman is not the favorite in any form of the game. He said:

“It is a tough question. Rishabh Pant is standing last in the queue and at the bottom of the list of Indian wicket-keepers at the moment. The Indian team had one option, when we had the India A vs Australia A match, they could have played six batsmen instead of five. You could have got Wriddhiman Saha to keep wickets but play Rishabh for sure,”

Furthermore, Aakash said that a could have been taken between Wriddhiman Saha and Rishabh Pant after seeing both of them bat. He added that Rishabh has just been sitting on the bench for the entire tour so far. He said:

“But now they have not played him there, and he was not there in the ODI and T20I squad. So, he has only gone as a tourist to Australia till now. He has not done any work till now,”

Aakash also pointed out that since Rishabh Pant is with the team, he won’t be able to play in domestic cricket.
