The ongoing tour of men in blue to Australia was one of the most awaited tour of this year, however, both the teams have already seen many ups and downs in the tour. Now, as the test series were about to began, men in blue were hit by another blow as Prithvi Shaw, who has been impressive over the last few months, has been ruled out of the big series.
Ahead of the big test series in Australia, the Indian cricket team opted for tour games. The incident happened when Prithvi Shaw was fielding at the deep mid-wicket fence and he caught CA XI opener Max Bryant. Although, he caught the ball just inside the rope and fell over while trying to keep the ball in play as momentum carried him beyond and resulted in a severe injury.
In the process of catching the ball, he twisted his left ankle and was in a lot of pain which was evident on his face. He was later carried off from the field and now by the latest updates from the BCCI, he has been ruled out from the series.
Here, have a look at the video of the incident :

The injury looks very serious. Twitter was soon flooded with tweets for Prithvi Shaw. Here, have a look at the reaction of twitterati on this :
Oh, man. This is Prithvi Shaw’s ankle today. Injuries are the worst thing about sport. I’ve done both ankles at basketball. It’s agony and they still give me trouble. Hope the kid can get back to full health. pic.twitter.com/W6s73NUWFa

That does not look good. Prithvi Shaw carried off the field. He was on his feet going into the pavillion but in serious discomfort. Was trying to keep his balance on the boundary rope having caught Max Bryant. Potentially a major blow.

Prithvi Shaw’s injury has made an ideal case for Rohit to open the inning, open the bowling, keep the wickets, do the umpiring, commentate on the game, like hate tweets and be a hindsight expert like @vikrantgupta73 too but he might end up with one job – Carrying drinks.

This is not a good sign for Indian cricket. Prithvi Shaw rolled his ankle going for a catch in the outfield. Has gone off for scans…doesn’t look good @BCCI pic.twitter.com/ZLs2uqzTjf
