Rahul Dravid recently mentioned that he’s open to playing himself in his biopic if the financial terms are favorable. The former cricketer, known for his disciplined approach and understated charisma, hinted that while he’s not actively seeking acting roles, a lucrative offer could change his stance. Dravid’s focus has always been on cricket, but he’s willing to step into the spotlight for a project that meets his expectations.

“If the money is good enough, I will play the role,” Dravid replied.
Seventeen years ago, as Indian captain, he faced a tough defeat in the group stage of the 2007 ODI World Cup in the West Indies. That loss was a blow to his career and the team’s morale. Fast forward to 2024, the same location saw a turnaround. Now as the head coach of Team India, he led them to victory in the T20 World Cup. This win not only redeemed his earlier defeat but also highlighted his growth from player to coach. It was a sweet moment of triumph and redemption on the very ground where he once faced disappointment. After the T20 World Cup 2024, he stepped down from the role.
“Honestly, I didn’t want to do anything different. I think we ran a fantastic campaign in the one-day World Cup, Rohit and the team, everyone involved in that one-day World Cup, we ran a superb campaign,” Dravid said.
“There’s nothing we could have done more in terms of our preparation, the planning, the execution of what we needed to do for 10 games in a row to dominate, to win the game we did, play the game we did,” he added.
