India’s tour of South Africa is going to be a massive test for Rahul Dravid and his boys, as all eyes will be on Team India when they take field for the first Test of the tour, amid all the off-field controversies that have stunned the Indian cricket.

Team India have reached the Rainbow nation and now all the focus will be on the preparations that include gelling together as a unit, understanding the playing conditions, forming strategies and practicing for the challenge that lies ahead.

This will be also be Rahul Dravid first overseas assignment as India’s head coach and fans are very excited to see how he takes the challenge with India’s captain Virat Kohli. South Africa is always a very difficult nation to tour and if India managed to register a Test series win, it will be their first evert Test series win in the Rainbow nation.

BCCI’s Twitter has been building up well for the much-awaited Test series and keeping then fans excited with regular content and updates from South Africa. In a video posted by the BCCI.tv, India’s head coach Rahul Dravid was seen giving a pep talk to the team about the importance of the next few days going into the first Test match of the long tour.

“The next three days are going to be extremely important in terms of our preparations and getting ourselves ready for the first Test,” Rahul Dravid said during a practice session. 

“Okay, just quality practice and good intensity,” the Indian coach added.

These two mantras given by Guru Dravid hold a lot of importance for the young Indian team because in his long and illustrious career, Dravid always performed well in the overseas conditions and gave tough challenges to his opponents on the field.

India’s batting coach Vikram Rathour spoke about the net session for the batters and said that it was an overcast day, which meant a challenging day for the Indian batsmen.

“Today was a centre wicket practice session. It was a fresh wicket with overcast conditions, pretty challenging for the batters. So extremely happy with the way they went about it today,” said batting coach Vikram Rathour.
