Rajat Sharma Insulted Gautam Gambhir Indirectly On Twitter

Renowned news anchor Rajat Sharma took a sly dig at Gautam Gambhir after RCB star batsman Virat Kohli hit a match-winning century against SRH on Thursday in Hyderabad.

Virat Kohli recorded his 6th IPL ton – equalling the record for most IPL centuries with Chris Gayle – that helped RCB chase down the target of 185 with some ease.

While fans hailed Kohli for his superb century, Rajat , while praising Kohli, also took an indirect dig at Gambhir, the LSG mentor. Sharma and Gambhir had had a go after each other earlier in this IPL season in the aftermath of Gambhir’s ugly spat with Kohli in Lucknow.

Now, Rajat, a former DDCA president and current TV news presenter, tried to troll Gambhir once again with an indirectly targeted tweet toward the 2-time World Cup-winning batsman.

While congratulating Kohli for his stunning century, a score of 100 runs off 63 balls that now has boosted RCB’s playoffs hopes, Sharma suggested someone – hinting at Gautam – wouldn’t be happy with Kohli’s ton.

“Magnificent 100 by Virat. It was a delight to watch. Of course, somebody somewhere may not be happy,” Rajat Sharma tweeted.

Meanwhile, Gautam Gambhir didn’t tweet anything for Kohli’s marvelous ton.

Sharma and Gambhir had an issue recently after the news anchor said derogatory things about the LSG mentor following his tussle with Kohli in Lucknow. Sharma had said Gambhir is jealous of Kohli, adding that he was being salty and ill-mannered in his heated altercation with the RCB star. Rajat reckoned Gambhir’s actions were against the spirit of cricket and sportsmanship.

To these comments, Gambhir had hit back hard to Rajat.

Gautam tweeted recalling Rajat’s short stint as the president of Delhi & Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) in 2018/19 and his resignation citing his inability to continue amidst “various pulls and pressures” within the DDCA. The LSG mentor called Rajat Sharma a “Bhagoda” and that the news anchor is only peddling his agenda against Gambhir.

Gautam Gambhir tweeted: “Man who ran away from Delhi Cricket citing “pressure” seems over eager to sell paid PR as concern for cricket! यही कलयुग़ है जहां ‘भगोड़े’ अपनी ‘अदालत’ चलाते हैं।”
