Ramiz Raja Picked Three Indians In His All-Time XI

Former Pakistani cricketer and current chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, Ramiz Raja, named his all-time playing XI. While many might not agree with his opinions but it’s hard to argue with Ramiz’s selection of all-time xi, which features many legends of the game.

Surprisingly, former all-rounder and Pakistan’s PM Imran Khan is the only cricketer from Pakistan, while he has picked 4 players from West Indies. Imran Khan has also been picked as the skipper by Ramiz Raja.

Ramiz Raja picked two Indian legendary batters to open the innings in his playing XI. He named Virender Sehwag and Sunil Gavaskar as the two openers in his playing XI.

Ramiz Raja Picked Three Indians In His All-Time XI

Following the Indian batting stalwarts is legendary Windies cricketer, Viv Richards at No.3.  “He is way ahead of his times and magnificent batsmen,” he said about Richards. In at No 4 and No 5 are two of the greatest batsmen Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara.

While picking them Ramiz said that their records speak for themselves. Former West Indies cricketer, Sir Garfield Sobers Was picked as the all-rounder in the team. Former Australian wicket-keeper, Adam Gilchrist was picked as the wicketkeeper in Raja’s playing XI. Showering praises at Gilly, Ramiz Raja said: “Gilchrist could open the innings and also could bat lower down the middle-order,”

Talking about the bowling department, Ramiz Raja picked Malcolm Marshall of West Indies and Glenn McGrath of Australia along with the skipper. He said: “The spinner is always the deadly Shane Warne,”
