The cricket fraternity has been showering praises on Afghanistan’s star all-rounder Rashid Khan, who has impressed one and all with his impeccable performances. It won’t be wrong to say that he is one of the greatest finds of the Afghanistan cricket team. He has emerged as the ‘go-to’ man for his national side as well as several franchises in various T20 tournaments.

On Friday, Rashid Khan added another feather to his already glorious hat as he became the fastest bowler to take 100 T20I wickets. Rashid achieved this amazing feat during the match against Pakistan in the ongoing T20 World Cup last night.

Rashid dismissed Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez to reach the milestone. Rashid Khan joined Shakib Al Hasan, Lasith Malinga, and Tim Southee, who have picked 100 T201 wickets. Rashid Khan has achieved the amazing milestone of 100 wickets in his 53rd match as he broke Malinga’s record. The legendary Sri Lanka bowler had picked his 100th wicket in the 76th game.

While Rashid achieved this amazing feat on Friday, his team failed to win the match against Pakistan. The Babar Azam-led side won the game by 5 wickets.

Later, after the match, Rashid took to his Twitter and shared a heartfelt post for his fans back home. In his tweet, he apologized to his fans for not giving them victory this time. He also thanked everyone for the congratulatory messages on his latest achievement. He wrote:

“Sorry to all the fans back home and all around the world not giving you victory to celebrate and bring smile on your faces BUT Your support and prayers will be imp for the rest of the games.Thank you everyone for your msges 100th T20 international wkts ??
