Australia created world record in Twenty20 Internationals after opener Glenn Maxwell scored 145 runs off just 65 balls to help the side post a world record 263/3 in 20 overs in their 1st T20I against Sri Lanka. This was the highest ever T20I score. This is now the joint highest total in T20 cricket, equalling Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) 263/5 against Pune Warriors in Indian Premier League (IPL) in Bengaluru in 2013. In that game, Chris Gayle had hit 175 not out.
