Furthermore, Ravindra Jadeja also talked about the previous Asia Cup 2023 Ind vs Pak clash, where both teams locked horns twice. Each team secured a win, however, Pakistan triumphed over the Rohit Sharma-led side in the later stages of the tournament and reached the final, only to be thrashed by Sri Lanka in the final tournament.
Recalling the previous encounters, Ravindra Jadeja stressed the profound insight into the unpredictable nature of the game. He said:
“We aim to deliver our performance and play as well as we can, but sometimes things don’t go as planned. This is a game, and the players from both sides are representing their respective countries. In my opinion, both teams are in the game to win. While you can put in proper focus and give your 100% on the field, there’s no guarantee of a particular outcome,”
Besides the Asia Cup 2023 encounters, the Indian cricket team and Pakistan cricket team are slated to face off in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
