Chennai Super Kings reached the final of the ongoing 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League by defeating the defending champions Gujarat Titans by 15 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in the 1st qualifier. This is for a record-extending 10th time in the history of this league that CSK has managed to reach the final.
Ravindra Jadeja Gave An All-Round Performance
CSK’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja played an instrumental role in helping his side fix a spot in the final showdown.
Asked to bat first, CSK posted a total of 172 for 7 in the allotted 20 overs. Ruturaj Gaikwad laid the foundation for the competitive target by playing a crucial knock of 60 runs and adding 87 runs for the first wicket with Devon Conway.
Jadeja also came up with a crucial effort with the bat as he scored 22 off 16 balls with the help of 2 fours and was dismissed on the very last ball of the innings. Thanks to his batting efforts, CSK posted a total of 170-plus runs on the scoreboard.
Later on, chasing the target, Gujarat started off on a poor note as Wriddhiman Saha and Hardik Pandya failed to get going. Shubman Gill and Shanaka then tried to steady the ship, however, Ravindra Jadeja returned with the ball and gave CSK a big and important breakthrough.
For CSK, Ravindra Jadeja & Maheesh Theekshana were the pick of the bowlers. Jadeja, who weaved a magical web, returned with the figures of 4-0-18-2.
After the Dhoni-led side qualified for the final match after defeating GT, Ravindra Jadeja was awarded the ‘Most Valuable Player Of The Match’ Award.

Later, Jadeja took to his social media and posted a hard-hitting tweet, slamming ‘some fans’ who have been (unnecessarily) criticizing and doubting him in the ongoing season. Giving a solid reply to those fans, Jadeja wrote:
