It has to be noted that RCB is in danger of exiting the ongoing season of the IPL as they’ve won only one of the 6 games they have played so far in the league. Head reached this milestone in just 39 balls, displaying a punishing mood right from the start of his innings. Head dominated the powerplay with Abhishek Sharma, forming a 100-run partnership quickly. He continued his onslaught against RCB bowlers alongside Heinrich Klaasen and completed a stunning century.
Sunrisers Hyderabad made history by scoring the highest team total in the history of IPL. Riding on Travis Head’s century off just 39 balls and Heinrich Klaasen’s explosive half-century, Sunrisers Hyderabad posted a massive total of 287/3 in their 20 overs against RCB. This score surpassed their previous record of 277, which they set against Mumbai Indians earlier in IPL 2024.
