Today, Royal Challengers Bangalore not just lost a match but also their chance to play in the playoffs and their hopes to win the trophy as well. Yes, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s journey in this season of the league ended today.
The match was the last chance for the players of Royal Challengers Bangalore, however, the players of Rajasthan Royals outplayed others today and won the match by 30 runs at their home ground, Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
Before the match started, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and chose to bat first.
The players of Rajasthan Royals started the first innings with their power-packed performances. Rahul Tripathi, the opener of the team gave a thrilling performance and scored 80 off the 56 balls.With the strike rate of 137, he smashed 5 fours and 3 sixes.
The skipper of Rajasthan Royals, Ajinkya Rahane (333), K.Gowtham (14) and Heinrich Klaasen (32) stretched the total scores to 164 runs.
Umesh Yadav, the talented bowler of RCB gave a great performance, he took three big wickets. Thw bowlers did a great job at not letting the players of RR score a huge total.
However, in the second innings, RCB failed to chase this total as well. The skipper of the team, Virat Kohli went back to pavilion at the score of 4.
The other opener of the team scored 33 runs of 21 balls. AB de Villiers, the star player of the team scored 53 off 35 balls. Rest other players couldn’t contribute much to the total and lost the match by 30 runs.
The bowlers of Rajasthan Royals were on fire today. They bundled up all the players of RCB at the score of 134 runs only and won the match by 30 runs.
