Former Royal Challengers Bangalore’s captain Virat Kohli isn’t having a great time in the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. Virat Kohli, who is hailed as the run-machine, is yet to make a major contribution with the bat and score a fifty in IPL 2022 despite crossing the 40-run mark twice.
Even during the game against Delhi Capitals, Virat Kohli failed to make an impact with the bat as he got run-out while looking for a close run and could only score 12 runs. However, Kohli hogged all the limelight in the game by plucking a stunning catch to turn the game upside down.
Chasing a target of 190 runs, Delhi Capitals Rishabh Pant was going berserk in the middle, smashing RCB bowlers to all the corners of the ground. It was in the 16th over, when Pant went totally crazy with the bat to bring the equation and he also began the 17th over brilliantly by smacking 8 runs off the first balls off Mohammed Siraj.
48 runs were needed off 22 balls when Rishabh Pant looked all set to steal the game for Delhi Capitals. However, the hopes of DC were crushed off the third ball itself all thanks to Virat Kohli. It was a one-handed blinder from him that proved the last nail in the coffin for Delhi Capitals in terms of chasing down the total.
Though it was a terrific catch, that made everyone jump off their seats. However, it was the reaction of Virat Kohli’s wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma that stole all the attention of fans. The 33-year-old also had one eye on his wife and he looked at her to show the ‘victory’ sign after taking the catch.
