It came as a surprise when the Royal Challengers Bangalore decided not to retain the star spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal. The RCB rather chose Sarfraz over him in addition to Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers.

Chahal was the leading wicket-taker in the shortest format of the game in 2017 and he has always been a vital bowler for the RCB and has always picked crucial wickets for them.

Sehwag’s take on Chahal

The former explosive Indian batsman never holds back from being swashbuckling and candid. This time he talked about Yuzvendra Chahal in an interview and said that it will be very stupid of the RCB to not use their Right To Match card to get Yuzvendra Chahal by their side.

Here’s what Sehwag Exactly Said

RCB Will Be Stupid If They Don’t Buy This Player, Says Sehwag

“I don’t know for what price he will go but RCB will definitely use Right To Match got him. If they don’t then they will be stupid.”

Sehwag feels that he has been Kohli’s best man whenever Kohli needed wickets in both, the Indian Premier League and international matches as well. He is of the strong opinion that the RCB must bring in Yuzvendra Chahal using the Right To Match as it would be stupid if they don’t do it.

RCB Will Be Stupid If They Don’t Buy This Player, Says Sehwag

Yuzvendra Chahal was not the only good player ignored by the RCB in retentions. They also overlooked the mighty Chris Gayle and also KL Rahul. Now the RCB fans are excited for the IPL auctions that would take place in Bangalore on 27th and 28th of January.

Sehwag’s take on Chris Gayle

Sehwag also talked about Chris Gayle. Taking about the destructive West Indies bowler, Chris Gayle said, “Gayle is now getting old. He is not the Gayle that he once was. Last year he played in the IPL and his performance was not at that level that he was once renowned for.”
