A year after his horrific car accident, fans got to see some of the scars on the left leg of Rishabh Pant that he had sustained in the crash.
On December 30, 2022, the India and Delhi Capitals wicketkeeper suffered a near-fatal car accident outside Delhi as his car jammed into a divider at around 5 a.m. Fortunately, Rishabh Pant survived the crash.
Since then, he has been recovering well. In fact, the BCCI medical team was astonished by the quick recovery of Pant, especially his legs, which incurred the most severe injuries and needed multiple operations.
On December 29, 2023, Pant shared a picture of him training his legs in the gym. On his left leg, in particular, a scar can be seen below the knee.
Pant captioned his Instagram story: “Work in progress getting there.”
Rishabh Pant set to make comeback in IPL 2024
The 26-year-old was present at the IPL 2024 auction in Dubai alongside Sourav Ganguly, who is the Director of Cricket of the Delhi Capitals.
Pant missed all cricket action in 2023 but is set to make his much-awaited comeback in the IPL 2024. However, it’s not yet clear whether he will be able to take full part in the matches or will play only as an Impact player because he might not be cleared to do wicketkeeping. David Warner led DC in the IPL 2023 and they failed to reach the playoffs.
Team India missed Pant very much, as the team suffered losses in the WTC Final and the World Cup final.
