VIDEO: Rishabh Pant Reaches Arun Jaitley Stadium To Cheer For Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals’ regular skipper Rishabh Pant attended the game between DC and Gujarat Titans (GT) on Tuesday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

The 25-year-old had suffered a near-fatal car accident in late December and, among many injuries, the most serious ones were on his knees, both of which required multiple surgeries, and that is set to keep Rishabh Pant out of high-level cricketing action until at least the end of this year.

Rishabh Pant was in attendance for the DC-GT game on April 4. He went there to show support to his team, which is currently being led by senior opener David Warner.

Pictures and videos from Pant’s entry in the stadium in his car and his being seated in the stands went viral as fans showed their support to the dynamic Indian cricketer and wished for his speedy recovery.

The crowd at the Arun Jaitley Stadium tuned in with the DJ and chanted “We want Rishabh” chants.

When the giant screen showed Rishabh Pant, he waved to the crowd which responded with loud cheers.

Bengal’s Abishek Porel was drafted in as Rishabh Pant’s replacement and got to make his debut vs GT.

Late in February, Rishabh Pant gave an interview to IANSΒ speaking about his new-found look toward life and his progress.

“It is hard for me to say if everything around me has become more positive or even negative. However, I’ve gained a fresh perspective on how I view my life now. Something I value today is enjoying my life to the fullest and this includes the smallest of things that we ignore in our daily routine. Everyone today is hustling and working extremely hard to achieve something special, but we’ve forgotten to enjoy the little things which give us joy every single daym” Pant said.

“Especially after my accident, I’ve found happiness in even being able to brush my teeth every day as well as something like sitting under the sun. While trying to achieve our goals, it seems like we’ve taken the regular things in life for granted. My biggest realisation and message would be that feeling blessed every day is also a blessing, and that’s the mindset I’ve adopted since my setback and being able to enjoy every moment which comes my way is a takeaway I have for myself.”
