Former Indian cricketer Rohan Gavaskar, son of Sunil Gavaskar is very active on social media and has been actively taking on critics on social media. On Thursday, he gave a hilarious reply to a fan who called him a ‘coward’ if he still lets Waqar Younis work as a commentator in Indian affiliated tournaments.

Well, it all started after Waqar Younis issued an apology for his insensitive remarks during the talk show, which didn’t go down well with the Indian fans. After receiving a lot of backlash on social media, Waqar Younis has finally issued an apology, where he claimed that those words came out of his mouth in the heat of the moment. He wrote:

“In the heat of the moment, I said something which I did not mean which has hurt the sentiments of many. I apologise for this, this was not intended at all, genuine mistake. Sports unites people regardless of race, colour or religion. #apologies,”

The tweet went viral in no time and was flooded with mixed reactions to it. Indian fans were simply not convinced at all with the apology and started trolling the former cricketer for his bigotry statements. Among many, an angry fan tagged Virender Sehwag, Rohan Gavaskar, and Harsha Bhogle to not let Waqar Younis work in Indian affiliated tournaments. He wrote:

“Your career as a Cricket Commentator in India and Indian Affiliated tournaments is finished. In the heat of moment your real self was revealed.@virendersehwag @rohangava9 @bhogleharsha , if you allow this BOZO anywhere near the Commentary box, you are cowards. PLAIN & SIMPLE”

The Tweet soon caught the attention of former Indian cricketer Rohan Gavaskar, who came up with a hilarious reply to it. In his reply, Rohan Gavaskar gave a savage response to the fan telling him that he doesn’t have the power to decide who gets the commentary gigs but in the most hilarious way. He wrote:

“Dear Vikram ji , If I had the power to decide who gets commentary gigs , I would not be sitting at home right now 🙂 In fact , I don’t even have the power to control the tv remote as my wife , daughter and son decide what they want to watch . #Fact”
