On Sunday, Rohit Sharma surpassed Indian skipper, Virat Kohli’s record to become the highest run-getter in the shortest format of the game.
During the first T20I against Bangladesh, on Sunday, Rohit Sharma played a knock of nine runs and by doing so he took his run tally to 2,452 runs, going two runs ahead of Kohli’s total.

Apart from this, Rohit Sharma also became the most capped player in the history of cricket in India for the shortest format of the game. Rohit has played a total of 99 games for the Men In Blue breaking the record of none other than MS Dhoni, who appeared in 98 matches.
Rohit Sharma is currently leading the men in blue as the skipper of the team in the absence of Virat Kohli, who has been given the much-needed rest
