Rohit Sharma Revealed The Hardest Part Of Being A Captain

A viral video from JioCinema showed Rohit Sharma discussing retirement, stating that he would retire from cricket when he feels he’s not up to par. He emphasized that he’s currently playing his best cricket and retirement isn’t imminent.

Speaking on Jio Cinema after the match, Rohit said:

“One day, when I wake up and feel, I am not good enough then I will retire straight away but in the last few years I am playing the best cricket of my life,”

In the conversation, Rohit Sharma voiced his disappointment regarding India’s brief two-match Test series against South Africa in 2023. Despite losing the series opener, India bounced back strongly to win the second Test convincingly, leaving him wishing for a longer series. He said:

“We usually lose the first Test and then we pick up in 2nd, 3rd, 4th Tests, so I was disappointed we played only 2 match Test series in South Africa.”

In his post-match interview with the host broadcaster, Rohit Sharma shared his joy and satisfaction over the victory in the Dharamsala Test. Rohit concluded:

“When you win a Test like this, everything has to fall in place. At some stage people are gonna come and we know that. These guys are maybe short of experience, they have played a lot of cricket and I can stand here and see that these guys responded pretty well under pressure. The credit goes to the entire team and it was pleasing to see.”
