A day before the festival, Rohit took to his social media and decided to wish his fans a special message on the festival of colors. He wrote: “A day of colors, joy, food & fun with friends & family. May you all enjoy it to the fullest 💙 Jam ke Holi khelo but thoda sambhaalke & stray animals ko bachaake 🤙”

Fans were disappointed with the fact that the Indian captain made it a point to talk about how one should be careful around the animals during this festival. This isn’t the first time, every year Rohit and a few other well-known Indian cricketers made a point of discussing how people shouldn’t waste water during Holi and shouldn’t color animals.

Fans even reminded him of the time when a Team India cricketer ordered beef and pork to eat in Australia early last year.

Disappointed with the ‘unwanted gyan’. from the captain, fans took to their social media and started trolling the captain.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma is currently gearing up for the 4th and final Test match against Australia. When the India Cricket Team elected to remain in Indore and practice, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were the two notable exceptions. However, they have now returned from a break and will begin full-fledged practice in Ahmedabad today.

India is currently leading the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy with 2-1, with the 4th & final Test starting March 9 in Ahmedabad. A win is a must for India to confirm WTC Final spot against Australia.
