The Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team is all set to lock horns with West Indies in the upcoming 2-match Test series. The first match of the series will start on Wednesday in Dominica and the Men in Blue are already sweating it out ahead of the series.

Team India is coming out to play after a month-long break and will look forward to coming up with a great show to start the West Indies tour on a positive note.

Ajinkya Rahane Gave a Hilarious Reply

Ahead of the much-awaited series, India’s vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane interacted with the journalists gathered at Windsor Park in Roseau on Monday after team India’s practice session got hampered due to rain.  During the interaction, a reporter questioned him about his comeback at age 35 and he responded with a cracking reply by saying that he is still young and there’s a lot of cricket left in him.

“What do you mean by at this age? I am still young yaar (friend). There’s still a lot of cricket in me,”

The reply from Ajinkya Rahane left Rohit Sharma in splits. The Indian captain, listening to Rahane’s responses to the journalists, couldn’t control his laughter. The video of the same has been going viral on the internet and we just can’t get enough of the two.

Rohit Sharma Gave An Epic Response

Meanwhile, Rahane further went on to add that he has worked a lot on himself and is keen to perform for India without thinking much about the future. He said:

“I had a good IPL and domestic season. I have grown in confidence as a batter but in the past one and half year I have also worked a lot on my fitness.

“I have worked on few aspects of my batting. At the moment I am enjoying my cricket. I am not thinking too much about the future. For now every match is important for me,”

For the unversed, Rahane returned to the team on the back of a good Ranji season and his blockbuster run for Chennai Super Kings during the 2023 IPL.
