Rohit Sharma, the merciless opener seemed to be struggling in the One Day series against the Kiwis. Rohit Sharma fell cheaply both in Mumbai and Pune adding to India’s woes. But then we all know that when it’s his day then no one stands near him and that is exactly what happened in the all-important final encounter of the 3 Match ODI series.

Hitman lived to his repute and played a mammoth knock of 147. Rohit Sharma got the better of New Zealand bowlers and hit 147 from 138 balls. He once again proved as to why his presence is so mandatory in the team and why no one else can storm the bowling attack like he does.

Rohit Sharma was struggling for runs in this series before this knock and today he played a match winning innings when India needed it the most.

Although India could hardly manage the victory as New Zealand got too close to the 338 run target but what matters is that India won the match as well as the series.

After the match Rohit said that he enjoys playing at Kanpur and has some good memories there. He said that it feels good when you win especially when you’ve contributed to the victory.
